1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at draincleaningdayton.us and the connection of calls placed through the phone number shown on it. It does not cover the independent contractors your call is connected to. Once you are speaking with a contractor, the information you give them is handled under their own practices, and you should ask them about it directly.
2. Information we handle
Browsing: like almost every website, the servers that deliver the Site record basic technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to deliver pages, keep the Site secure and fix errors.
Calls: when you call the number on the Site, the call-routing provider records call information such as the calling number, the time and length of the call, the general area the call came from and the contractor it was connected to. Calls may be recorded for quality, dispute and compliance purposes; where a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.
What we do not collect: the Site has no forms, no account sign-up and no newsletter. We do not ask for your name, email address or home address, and we do not collect payment details. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health or financial data.
3. How we use information
Information is used to connect your call to a contractor, to confirm that calls were connected correctly, to resolve disputes about whether a call took place, to prevent fraud and abuse, to keep the Site and phone line working and secure, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information to call, text or email you. We do not keep your number on a list for later contact, and we do not send marketing of any kind. Anything arranged after your call, such as a visit, is agreed between you and the contractor during that call.
6. How long information is kept
Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting and then deleted or aggregated. Call records and any recordings are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, including resolving disputes and meeting legal or contractual requirements, and are then deleted.
7. How information is protected
The Site is served over HTTPS and access to call records is restricted to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but reasonable administrative and technical measures are used.
8. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what call information we hold that is linked to your phone number, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law or to resolve a dispute. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, such as California, may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete and correct information, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, call the number on the Site and say it is a privacy request. We may need to verify that you control the phone number involved before acting on it. We aim to respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need longer, as some state laws allow. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authority.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults arranging drain work for a home or business. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child's information has been collected, call and we will delete it.
10. Other websites
Pages link to outside sources such as City of Dayton, county, state and federal websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page before they take effect.
