Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of draincleaningdayton.us and to any call you place through it. Please read them before relying on the Site. Effective date: November 6, 2026.
Plain-language summary
- This is a call-in referral service. Your call is connected to an independent local drain contractor who speaks with you on that call.
- We do not do drain work. Any agreement for work is between you and the contractor.
- Pages give general information, not professional advice about your specific pipes.
- We do not call, text or email you, and we do not pass your details on so anyone can contact you later.
1. Accepting these terms
By using the Site or calling through it, you agree to these terms, which form an agreement between you and Drain Cleaning Dayton, the operator of the Site ("we"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the phone line.
2. How the referral service works
When you call the number on the Site, your call is routed to an independent, locally operating drain-cleaning contractor, and you speak with that contractor on the same call. The contractor decides whether they can help, and tells you directly what they can do and when.
We do not guarantee that a contractor will be available for every call, location or time, and emergency availability must be checked on the call. We do not promise arrival times, outcomes or that any particular method will solve a problem.
3. Your agreement with a contractor
Contractors are independent businesses, not our employees, agents or partners. Any estimate, scope, schedule, warranty or payment terms are agreed solely between you and the contractor, and the contractor is responsible for the work.
Before work begins, ask the contractor about licensing and insurance where it applies, and about permits. In the City of Dayton, repairing a broken sewer lateral requires a permit obtained by a licensed plumber; neighbouring cities and counties set their own requirements. We do not inspect, supervise or warrant contractors' work.
4. Information on this Site
Guides, service and area pages are general information about drains, sewers and local conditions, based on the sources cited on each page. They are not a diagnosis of your plumbing and may not reflect the latest change to a rule or utility. Do not rely on them in place of someone who has examined your system, and confirm permit and code questions with the relevant authority.
5. Safety and emergencies
Sewage and standing water can carry health and electrical hazards. Stay away from water near electrical equipment, keep children and pets away from sewage, and do not mix drain chemicals. If there is an immediate danger to life or property, such as fire, gas smell or electrical hazard, call 911 or the relevant utility first. Public sewer main problems in Dayton belong to the City's Division of Sewer Maintenance.
6. Calls: a call-in service only
The service works only through calls you place. We do not make outbound calls, texts or emails to you, do not send marketing, and do not collect contact details for later contact. Calls may be recorded for quality and compliance purposes, and you will be told if a call is recorded. Anything arranged after the call is agreed between you and the contractor during that call. Calling does not commit you to anything.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site or phone line: no prank, abusive or automated calls, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Site, and no copying of the Site's content at scale. We may block numbers or traffic that abuse the service.
8. Intellectual property
The text, layout, graphics and images on the Site belong to the operator or its licensors. You may read and share links to pages for personal, non-commercial use. Other copying, republishing or adaptation requires written permission. Some images are AI-generated and show typical situations, not specific jobs.
9. Links to other sites
The Site links to public sources such as City, county, state and federal websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and the referral service are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, and we make no warranty about any contractor or their work.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from work performed or not performed by a contractor, from reliance on information on the Site, or from inability to reach a contractor. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ohio law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or phone line or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Montgomery County, Ohio, unless the law requires otherwise.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions about these terms can be raised by calling the number on the Site. These terms are not legal advice.
